Science Teacher

Science Teacher responsible for planning and delivering lessons, creating an effective classroom environment, and supporting student growth in science at Phillips Middle School. Duties include developing lesson plans and instructional materials, providing individualized and small-group instruction, employing diverse instructional techniques and media, maintaining student behavior standards, formulating clear objectives for lessons and projects, evaluating student progress, communicating with parents, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum and student support, and participating in district professional development and committees. Requires NC teaching license and a Bachelor’s degree; prior teaching experience preferred. The role is 10-month, exempt, full-time in Chapel Hill, NC.
