Job Summary
Teach four sections of middle school science (grades 7 and 8) and collaborate with the Middle School team. Provide support to students outside class, serve as an advisor with weekly meetings to promote student well‐being, and participate in supervisory and extracurricular duties (e.g., chaperoning, clubs, coaching, or other student programming). Communicate regularly with students and parents; contribute to advisory activities and professional development. Qualifications include 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience and curriculum development, a Bachelor's degree or higher in science or science education, experience with lab equipment and activities-based curricula, strong communication skills, and a commitment to inclusive, project-based, and competency-driven instruction with proficiency in technology and digital platforms. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 (determined by education and experience). This is a full-time, 10-month role at Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, MD, with benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement options, tuition remission for eligible children, professional development, parental leave, sick/personal days, and meals provided. Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of relevant teaching experience and curriculum development
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a field of science or science education
- Passion for teaching science and teaching Middle School girls

- Commitment to creating a student-centered, project-based, and competency-driven classroom
