Job Summary
Plan differentiated learning activities and manage classroom behavior to foster a collaborative environment focused on student growth. Utilize district curriculum maps, assessments, and calendars to monitor performance and design coherent instruction aligned with instructional outcomes. Establish a culture of respect and rapport while organizing physical space and supervising paraprofessionals. Engage in continuing professional development through in-service opportunities and research to support school improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs, including those with special requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Eligible for Certification by the State of Florida or District vocational certification
- Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology
- Knowledge of prescribed curriculum
- Knowledge of Content and Structure of Discipline, Prerequisite Relationships, and Content-Related Pedagogy
- Knowledge of Child/Adolescent Development, Learning Process, Students' Skills and Knowledge, Language Proficiency, Interests, and Special Needs
- Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to communicate effectively with others orally and in writing
- Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information
- Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
- L-Light Work – Required to push, pull or lift up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
