Job Summary
The Lansing School District is hiring science teachers responsible for providing world-class instruction in physical sciences, chemistry, and life sciences to middle and high school students. Candidates should demonstrate passion for science education and possess a strong understanding of secondary science content. Responsibilities include differentiating instruction based on data, building relationships with students and parents, and ensuring a safe, inclusive classroom environment. The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in education or a science field and prior experience working with students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or science field (i.e. biology, chemistry, physics)
- Previous experience working with middle school and high school students

Desired Qualifications
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a secondary science endorsement
- Previous teaching experience in an urban setting
- Training in CRPBIS, Amplify Science, and other related instructional methodologies
