Job Summary
High School Science Teacher responsible for implementing the District instructional program and educational philosophy, designing lessons with real-world relevance, and using formative and summative assessments to monitor student performance. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, utilizes technology to enhance learning, maintains accurate records in online gradebooks, communicates with parents, and supports co-curricular activities. Maintains a safe and positive classroom environment and stays current with district policies, TEC/ethics, and professional development to promote student achievement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- Preferred: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
