Job Summary
Teach high school science to students, align instruction with North Carolina Standards, develop and use instructional materials for diverse learners, assess student progress, maintain student records, communicate with parents, participate in PLCs, and utilize technology (Smartboard) to enhance learning; work under general supervision and comply with district policies and health/criminal/drug screening requirements. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and active state licensure as a Science Teacher (high school) or eligibility to obtain licensure; Salary follows the NC Teacher’s Salary Schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited college/university
- Must be fully licensed as a Science Teacher (00300) or eligible for licensure for high school
- For middle school positions must be licensed in 78300 or eligible for licensure
- Strong background in North Carolina Course of Study/Essential Standards
