Job Summary
Teach assigned classes utilizing state and local programs of study adopted by the Floyd County Board of Education while developing lesson plans and providing individualized instruction. Establish classroom standards of behavior and communicate with parents through conferences to discuss pupil progress. Evaluate academic and social growth, maintain required records, and administer assessments per district guidelines. Cooperate with staff to develop Individual Education Plans and Gifted Student Service Plans for students with specific needs. Demonstrate positive relationships with students, staff, and parents while participating in faculty committees and pupil activity supervision. Report to the classroom fifteen minutes prior to and after school hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certification as determined by the Kentucky Department of Education, Division of Educator Licensure and Quality.
