Job Summary
A full-time Science Teacher at Trinity Catholic High School (Ocala, FL) for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in the specific subject area or related field, and a Florida teaching certificate (or eligibility). The teacher will work 7:45 am–3:45 pm, teach at least 6 classes, and participate in duties such as faculty meetings, student supervision, technology-enabled instruction in a 1:1 school, and Catholic education activities in alignment with diocesan and school policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the specific subject area or related field (AP teaching experience favored)
- Hold a valid Teaching Certificate from the State of Florida or eligible for State Certification (6-12) in the specific subject area
- Demonstrated skills in teaching, communication, and people skills
- Background check required
- 90-day probationary period
- Familiar with and supportive of the educational philosophy of the school and the Diocese of Orlando
- Proficiency in using designated curriculum, textbooks/e-books, and materials; observe and enforce school regulations
- Ability to use technology as an educational tool; provide instruction in person and/or virtually
- Availability to observe the school calendar including before and after school commitments
- Willingness to supervise student activities and undertake other duties as assigned
- Ability to develop effective lesson plans per diocesan and school expectations
- Commitment to professional development and spiritual growth
- Cooperation with religious and faith-formation activities
- Ability to attend and participate in parent/teacher conferences and school events
- Maintain order and discipline of students on and off-campus
- Commitment to confidential handling of information
