Job Summary
High School Science Teacher to teach 11th and 12th grade Physics and Chemistry using OpenSciEd-aligned NGSS curriculum. Responsibilities include delivering inquiry-based instruction, facilitating student-driven investigations and scientific discourse, developing OpenSciEd-based lesson plans, using formative and summative assessments to monitor progress, creating a safe, inclusive learning environment, promoting collaboration and inquiry, participating in OpenSciEd training, instructional coaching, PLC collaboration, and leveraging digital tools (e.g., Canvas) to support OpenSciEd pedagogy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in General Science, Physics, Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification in science
- Familiarity with NGSS and three-dimensional learning
