Job Summary
Conduct daily instruction for 6th-grade science, monitoring student growth through the 8-step process, Acuity, and fluency testing to inform instructional decisions. Develop effective lesson plans and complete daily reflections while integrating technology and the arts into the curriculum. Manage the classroom environment to maintain student engagement and collaborate actively with teachers, parents, and students to address individual needs. Maintain professional responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating the learning process. Requires a valid Indiana Highly Qualified teaching license, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Secondary Education, and experience in the grade/content level within the past three years.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Teaching License
- Highly Qualified
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary/Secondary Education or related field
- Must not currently be on a Performance Improvement Plan
- Physical ability and mobility to work in an office
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other technologies and office equipment
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to bend at the waist
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry equipment, supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- Repetitive hand movement and fine coordination to use a computer keyboard
- Emotional stability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to keep all aspects of the job under control
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone
- Seeing to read
- Ability to prepare and assure the accuracy of documents
