Science Teacher - 6th Grade @ Grier STEAM Academy

Teach North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Essential Standards and, if assigned to high school, high school curriculum as applicable. Plan, organize, and present instruction using materials suitable for a range of learners; employ technology (Smartboard) and data-driven assessment to monitor student progress; establish a positive learning environment and maintain records. Communicate with parents, participate in PLCs, collaborate with administrators and other staff, select and requisition instructional materials, and support school/district goals. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and active licensure as a Science Teacher in North Carolina (with eligibility to licensure for middle/high school as appropriate). Knowledge of NC standards, assessment, and effective instructional practices; ability to manage instructional time and student behavior; and capacity to work with diverse learners and families.
