Job Summary
Provide instruction in core academic subjects for grades 6-8; develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and TEA requirements; assess student learning and differentiate instruction; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; manage classroom environment and student behavior; supervise extracurricular activities; establish professional communication with parents and staff; participate in staff development and comply with district policies and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
