Job Summary
Full-time, one-year term high school physics instructor. Teach four classes per trimester using student-centered, Harkness-style discussions. Develop and/or contribute to courses in robotics, electronics, modern physics, or thermodynamics; potential to teach advanced courses in addition to introductory ones. May include residential duties and participation in extracurricular activities, advising, and dormitory life. Requires completion of a criminal and driving background check; must submit CV/resume, cover letter, and references/transcripts as part of the application. Compensation is determined by a structured step-system based on experience and highest degree earned; salary range from $55,566 to $123,480.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching in a classroom setting (minimum 2 years)
- Willingness to enforce all school policies and rules governing student behavior
- Criminal and driving background check
- Three professional references and transcripts required at some stage
- Cover letter addressing teaching experience and alignment with Harkness teaching style and Exeter’s mission
