Job Summary
Deliver exciting science shows and workshops to diverse audiences, focusing on natural sciences and conservation while inspiring visitors through immersive experiences. Handle native mammals, fish, vertebrates, and insects safely to WOW guests in a hands-on environment. Collaborate with experts to develop creative ways to share knowledge, utilizing excellent communication skills to engage unfamiliar people. Fluency in English is required; French is an asset. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with weekend availability being necessary. Required Qualifications
- A passion for animals
- An ability to WOW visitors in an immersive environment
- Comfort in handling native mammals, fish and vertebrates (e.g., snakes, turtles) and all manners of insects and invertebrates (e.g., snails, cockroaches)
- A keen interest in science with a willingness to learn and grow your knowledge
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Superior interpersonal skills
- No reluctance in approaching unfamiliar people
- Fluency in English
