Job Summary
Science Classroom Teacher (5th–8th) at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School in Houston, TX. Plan and deliver standards-based science instruction using a Classical and inquiry-based approach; design weekly hands-on, lab-based learning experiences; differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs; promote data collection, analysis, and problem-solving through scientific investigation; maintain a safe, organized lab and support faith-filled, Catholic education aligned with Archdiocesan and diocesan expectations; develop cross-curricular lesson plans, collaborate with colleagues, and communicate student progress to families. Requires a Bachelor's in Science Education or related field and valid Texas teaching certification; Master’s preferred; practicing Catholic preferred. Strong classroom management, collaboration, and a passion for experiential, discovery-based learning are desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification (Texas or ability to obtain)
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Practicing Catholic preferred
