Job Summary
Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons in assigned content areas for grades 9–12, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs including those with IEPs/504s and ELLs. Utilize assessments and student data to inform instruction, foster a classroom culture of high academic expectations, and support students' social-emotional development and academic advising. Incorporate technology and project-based learning while maintaining accurate records of student performance and communicating with families. Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular integration and professional development, and participate in advisory, clubs, and extracurricular responsibilities. This full-time, 10-month role supports CASLV's college-preparatory mission within a traditional high school environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a content-related field
- Valid Nevada secondary teaching license or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and curriculum standards
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of successful high school teaching experience
- Experience in charter, STEM-focused, or college-preparatory environments
- Demonstrated skill in using educational technology and student data platforms
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency
