Schoolwide Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, lesson plans, and age-appropriate curriculum across infant, toddler, and preschool programs. Support daily routines including arrival, circle time, meals, diapering, nap time, outdoor play, and transitions while supervising children to ensure safety and compliance with teacher-to-child ratios. Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitization per Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations, assist with setup and meal support, and float between classrooms to cover staffing needs. Build relationships with children, families, and educators while helping prepare rooms for licensing visits and inspections. Work Monday through Friday within operating hours, completing required OCFS trainings and CPR/First Aid certification. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year of experience working with young children from infants to age 5
- Willingness to complete OCFS required trainings
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work Monday through Friday within operating hours of the center
- Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
- Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset
