Job Summary
The Schools ICT Engineer provides high-quality, onsite ICT support within a large secondary school in St Helens. Responsibilities include face-to-face and remote support for students, staff and visitors; logging, managing and resolving ICT incidents within defined SLAs/KPIs; building, configuring and deploying end-user devices; installing and updating applications; supporting printers, projectors and other equipment; handling asset management and documentation; and supporting school events. Works with other ICT engineers to maintain a reliable, high-availability environment; typical hours 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday with flexibility based on school needs; requires strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server, networking, mixed Apple/Microsoft environments, and customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above), including English and Mathematics, a full clean driving licence, and the ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check are required.
