Job Summary
Prepare and serve meals according to established recipes, portion control guidelines, and food safety standards. Greet students, staff, and visitors professionally while addressing inquiries about menu items, pricing, and payment options. Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to support inventory management. Set up and maintain the food service line, including plates, utensils, and beverages. Perform dishwashing duties as needed and collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations. Work Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Albion Central School.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass NYS background
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
- Basic math skills and experience handling money accurately are essential
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or customer service roles is desirable
- Familiarity with cash registers is preferred
