Job Summary
School To Work - Mechanical Engineering role supporting brake engineering design and sustaining activities. Involves design of brake platforms, 3D modeling and 2D detail drawings, workflow for releasing new products, and use of engineering tools such as DFMEA, DFM/DFA, statistical analysis, test reports, design reviews, and DVP&R. Also supports brake lab activities (developments, priorities, test follow-up, tracking test parts, research, service parts inspections), creates technical test reports, and assists with opening/managing purchase orders for brake engineering and related areas. Emphasizes understanding drawings and tolerances, quality and safety procedures, collaboration within a team, and contributing to project objectives across the product life cycle for North America commercial vehicle brake engineering.
