Job Summary
Coordinate all testing operations for the high school, including training examiners, managing both paper/pencil and online testing, scheduling and reporting for Standards of Learning Assessments and related examinations (College Board, CTE industry credentials, Virginia Placement Test, Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle Permit Assessments), ensuring appropriate testing accommodations for students with disabilities and English learners, training examiners, maintaining testing security, processing state reports, managing a database of verified graduation credits, handling confidential student data, coordinating specialized testing (ELL, special education), coordinating term graduate testing for seniors, and generating department-wide reports (e.g., Student Performance by Question). Develop and implement a school-based examiner schedule, participate in staff activities, and perform other duties as assigned. Required knowledge of SOLs, VAAP, WIDA; proficiency with large datasets and spreadsheets; familiarity with online test delivery systems; ability to work with diverse populations; strong communication and professional integrity; travel within the division may be required. Preferred Master’s degree; professional licensure/endorsement; three years teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree preferred in an applicable field of education or the equivalent in credentialing, training and/or experience
- Professional license and endorsement by Virginia Department of Education or equivalent
- Preferred minimum of three years teaching experience
