Job Summary
Deliver direct speech and language intervention to students individually and in small groups, implementing goals and strategies from treatment plans written by the supervising SLP. Collect session data and complete documentation daily within your scheduled prep time, while preparing therapy materials and adapting activities for each student's profile, including AAC users. Coordinate with classroom teachers and staff to carry communication targets into the classroom and maintain your assigned schedule by tracking attendance and scheduling make-up sessions. Participate in scheduled supervision and practice within the California SLPA scope of practice. This full-time role serves students at a non-public school partner site in the Inland Empire, offering 7 paid hours per day with guaranteed coverage regardless of student attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Current California SLPA license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
- Associate degree in an SLPA program
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with completed SLPA field work
- Current CPR certification
- TB clearance
- DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
- Willingness to obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance prior to start
- Valid California driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Current auto insurance

- Monday through Friday schedule
- School-year calendar of approximately 35 service weeks
- 7 paid hours per day
- Student service window from 8:15 AM to 2:00 PM
- 30-minute unpaid lunch

- Implementation of goals and strategies as written
- Prompt communication with supervising SLP when a plan needs adjustment
- Collection of session data and completion of documentation the same day
- Preparation of therapy materials

- Coordination with classroom teachers, instructional aides, and behavior staff
- Maintenance of assigned schedule
- Tracking of student attendance
- Scheduling of make-up sessions into open slots
- Participation in scheduled supervision
- Completion of required supervision documentation
- Practice within the California SLPA scope of practice at all times
