Job Summary
Deliver individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches while conducting crisis assessments to ensure student safety. Build therapeutic relationships that foster resilience and advocate for student needs by shaping Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adjusting treatment strategies to drive measurable outcomes. Partner closely with teachers, administrators, and clinicians to address behavioral challenges, coordinate care beyond the classroom, and connect families with community resources. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and legal standards while adhering to mandated reporting laws. This role supports students with social-emotional and behavioral needs within a multidisciplinary team at a specialized non-public school.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Active Maryland LGSW license
- At least 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Desired Qualifications
- LCSW-C
- Experience in a therapeutic school or special education setting
- Strong knowledge of IEPs and special education processes
- Background in trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and crisis response
- Confidence working with complex and high-need student populations
