Job Summary
Position: School Social Worker (School Counselor or Social Worker) reports to Principal and Director of Student Services. Role involves crisis intervention, advocacy and collaboration to support both special and general education students with personal, emotional, and social challenges; participates in social developmental studies, IEP-related services, eligibility determinations for special education, and family/parent communications; duties include student assessments, behavior intervention planning, and providing individual/group counseling and mental health supports within the school setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work (SSW) endorsement
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Master's Degree in School Counseling
