Job Summary
Provide social-emotional support and counseling to 4th and 5th grade students in-person. Develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans, conduct assessments, collaborate with teachers/parents/multi-disciplinary teams, provide crisis intervention, connect students with community resources, maintain compliance with MDE/IDEA documentation, participate in IEP meetings and behavioral planning, and educate staff on mental health and classroom behavior management. Requires MSW and Michigan SSW license with fingerprint check; rhythm includes 8:00–4:00 with some flexibility, small caseload, and opportunities for contract extension or permanent transition.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Michigan School Social Worker License (SSW) or Temporary Approval (310 letter) issued by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
