School Social Worker

Provide school-based social work services to students, including social-emotional support and counseling in individual and group settings; conduct assessments to identify needs and develop intervention plans; develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans; collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address behavioral, emotional, and academic concerns; provide crisis intervention for students experiencing trauma; connect students and families with community resources; maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Michigan Department of Education and IDEA guidelines; participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations; educate and support teachers on mental health awareness and classroom behavior management strategies.
