Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and provide weekly counseling to students with social/emotional and behavioral challenges as specified on IEPs or program requirements. Deliver solid counseling while maintaining confidentiality and prioritizing multiple responsibilities within the treatment team. Work cooperatively with other staff members to empower students for successful experiences in school, at home, and in the community. Maintain a structured, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment. Submit to a pre-employment physical and background check.
Required Qualifications
- Masters in Social Work
- Illinois School Social Work License
- LCSW
- LSW
- LCPC
- LPC
- Solid counseling skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively with other members of the treatment team
