Job Summary
Conduct assessments of student needs, promote regular school attendance, and provide individual or group counseling. Perform home visits and conduct family needs assessments to support student well-being. Act as a liaison with the court system and represent homeless students within the district, promoting safe, caring, and drug-free schools. This position provides support to several schools in the district and reports to the Principal or Superintendent.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved program in School Social Work at the Bachelor's level or above
- Must hold, or be eligible to hold a license in School Social Work
- Must be willing to complete any requirements to obtain or maintain a North Carolina License in School Social Work within required time limit, in order to remain compliant with NCDPI's State Board Policy
