Job Summary
Connect students and families with community resources to strengthen home/school partnerships and remove barriers to attendance. Implement programs addressing interpersonal adjustment issues and coordinate with teachers to identify at-risk students for crisis prevention plans. Act as the primary contact for these families, report critical incidents per legal and ethical standards, and participate in IEP teams to develop social goals. Stay current on state regulations for incident reporting and documentation while supporting staff through trainings on child welfare and safety. Prioritize dropout prevention by advancing understanding of family, community, and cultural influences on student success. Occasional overnight travel required for school events.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- ASW with PPS or CLSW
- Experience and demonstrated interest in working with at-risk youth
- Willingness to travel on occasion for school events (may require occasional overnight travel)
