Job Summary
Coordinate services with community agencies, provide individual and group counseling, and conduct home visits to assess student needs. Assist parents in utilizing school and community resources to help children maximize their educational abilities while empowering families to access available opportunities. Provide necessary professional skills to assist students and communities in problem solving and conflict resolution in a safe and healthy manner. Serve as liaison between school, family, and community to strengthen partnerships and address barriers to learning. Participate in referrals, placements, and behavioral modification plans to support student success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in School Social Work from a regionally-accredited college or university
- North Carolina Professional Educator's License in School Social Work
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Social Work (for individuals without the School Social Work license who may qualify for a provisional license)
