Job Summary
Monitor and supervise assigned school areas, conducting regular patrols of buildings, hallways, and grounds while securing exterior doors and operating camera systems. Escort students when necessary, screen visitors and students using metal detectors, and staff access points following established procedures. Respond promptly to staff concerns, incidents, and emergencies, reporting breaches and suspicious activity immediately to administration. Assist the public with directions and ensure compliance with school procedures to maintain a safe environment. This role supports a secure, welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors at St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. in Country Club Hills, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
- Completion of a 20-hour security training course
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a drug screening and background check
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of up to 8–12 hours
- Physical capability to respond effectively during emergencies and meet the demands of the position
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
- Completion of a 20-hour security training course
- HS Diploma
- GED or H.S. Equivalent
- IL PERC Card
- 20-hour IL security training certificate
