Job Summary
Patrol school buildings and grounds to prevent substance abuse, fighting, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Respond to incidents at bus stops, conduct site inspections for safety concerns, and assist staff in special education classrooms. Transport students home when necessary, support campus visitation management, and direct vehicle traffic on property. Participate in lockdown and evacuation drills, contact emergency services, and assist in developing the Emergency Response Plan. Complete daily incident reports and present safety information to students, staff, and parents. Work a flexible schedule with 181 work days and 22 paid holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of FEMA courses: IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700
- Some knowledge of or training in security procedures and practices
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent health and physical condition; ability to run if necessary
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Possess an Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to obtain restraint training
- Good human relations skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, all applicable policies, regulations, and rules
- A post-offer physical and drug screening test
