Job Summary
Assess and monitor the health needs of students through regular screenings and evaluations. Provide direct nursing care for chronic illnesses, injuries, and acute health needs while administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Maintain accurate, confidential health records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Educate students and staff on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention. Respond to medical emergencies by providing first aid and activating emergency response protocols. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and school staff to develop individual healthcare plans and foster a safe environment. Submit an application, letter of interest, and resume to the Board of Education Office by the closing date.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage with students and staff for extended periods
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable
- Previous nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
