Job Summary
Conduct psycho-educational evaluations during initial referrals to the CSE committee and subsequent triennial evaluations. Work under the supervision of the Director of Pupil Personnel in concert with building principals and the mental health team. Deliver professional development and create resources while applying a student-centered approach and systems thinking. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues using social emotional learning and trauma-informed practices. Maintain New York State School Psychologist certification and commit to continual growth in the District's mental health initiative.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State School Psychologist Certification
- Experience with social emotional learning and trauma informed practices
- Experience with the delivery of professional development and the creation of professional resources
- A student-centered approach to practice
- The ability to work well and communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues
- The ability to take a systems approach to the work
- Solid understandings of social emotional learning and trauma informed practices
- Belief in continual growth and learning in their practice
- Commitment to the work of the District
- Commitment to creating the conditions for our students and staff to thrive
- Directly responsible for completing Psycho- Educational evaluations during initial referral to the CSE committee and subsequent triennial evaluations
