Job Summary
Assess intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students referred for special education; assist in evaluating eligibility for special education services; participate in ARD/IEP processes; may serve as case manager and implement the special education assessment process; conduct group, individual, and family counseling; provide consultation on mental health topics to instructors; collaborate with teachers, parents, and students to implement behavior intervention plans; develop and maintain relationships with students and parents; compile and maintain reports and records; ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and district policies; regular district-wide travel between campuses and lifting/positioning students as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology from accredited college or university
- Valid Texas license as a licensed specialist in school psychology granted by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
