Job Summary
School Psychologist associated with Wachusett Regional School District. Responsibilities include conducting psycho-educational screenings and evaluations for referred students; interpreting findings and communicating recommendations at team meetings; providing behavioral consultations; developing psycho-educational treatment recommendations; offering psychological services in accordance with state and federal laws (IDEA, NASP Ethics); participating in screening teams; collaborating with parents, school staff, and outside personnel; contributing to behavioral intervention planning (functional behavioral assessments and behavioral intervention plans); supporting transition planning; and staying current with developments in psychology and education. The role requires Massachusetts licensure and aligns with NASP principles; duties also include supporting preschool evaluations and general district-wide responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Experience conducting student evaluations
- Experience providing behavioral consultations
- Develop psycho-educational treatment recommendations
- Provide psychological services in accordance with state and federal laws (IDEA, NASP Ethics)
- Participate in school screening and Student Assistant-type teams
- Conduct psycho-educational screenings and assessments
- Interpret evaluation findings and communicate recommendations at Team meetings
- Collaborate with parents, school staff, and outside personnel
- Participate in behavioral intervention planning (FBAs, BIPs, LRE determinations)
- Monitor, evaluation, and transition planning for students in district programs
- Keep abreast of new developments in psychology and education
