Job Summary
Evaluate students district-wide providing comprehensive cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments as part of an interdisciplinary team; produce comprehensive evaluation reports in accordance with federal and state guidelines with recommendations for teachers and parents; present findings at team meetings and participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team; demonstrate understanding of special education eligibility categories and criteria; assist school-based Student Assistance Teams through RTI utilization; provide crisis counseling as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a master’s degree or higher in school psychology approved by the National Association of School Psychologists, doctorate preferred
- Possession of MA DESE school psychologist license
- Experience with special education processes and eligibility guidelines
- Experience in evaluating second language learners
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills
- Spanish/Bilingual candidates preferred
