Job Summary
Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, and social-emotional needs. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans while providing individual and group counseling to support student mental health and behavior. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to develop intervention strategies, participate in IEP meetings, and deliver crisis intervention as needed. Maintain confidential records in compliance with South Carolina Department of Education and IDEA guidelines, and provide staff training on mental health and behavior management. Hourly rate ranges from $42.00 to $55.00 per hour with contracts up to 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited program
- South Carolina Educator Certificate in School Psychology (issued by the South Carolina Department of Education – SCDE)
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check
Desired Qualifications
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP)
