Job Summary
Provide counseling services to students and their parents. Participate in multi-tiered systems of support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including inter-disciplinary meetings to evaluate diagnoses and treatment plans. Develop and maintain initial and annual IEPs as appropriate. Collaborate with families and staff during weekly team meetings to support social and emotional development. Adhere to federal, state, and local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, and procedural safeguards. Maintain a schedule ensuring compliance with all required meetings and services.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Psychology
- Has obtained or is eligible for an endorsement as a School Psychologist as prescribed in the bylaws of the State Department of Education
- Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing
- Has the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or specialized training in the field of pediatric mental health
