Job Summary
The School Psychologist will work with teachers and students to support academic, social, behavioral, and emotional success; conduct Special Education evaluations; act as a liaison among parents, teachers, and school districts; collaborate on IEPs with goals linked to district standards; use data to drive instructional practices and interventions; administer and interpret assessments; ensure compliance with MARSE and special education timelines; engage in trauma-informed practices and Medicaid billing processes; and contribute to a safe, supportive school environment through effective communication with families and collaboration with educators and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in School Psychology
- Meet state requirements for Certification / License / Approvals
- Experience in behavior modification/applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Knowledge of MARSE eligibility and evaluation procedures
- Ability to administer assessments and interpret results
- Knowledge of Special Education rules, regulations, and timelines
- Ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and school districts
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Trauma-informed care experience preferred
- Ability to assist with implementation of academic interventions
- Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures and required service logs
- Completes paperwork on time and adheres to legal timelines
- Familiarity with seclusion and restraint procedures and crisis de-escalation
- Data-driven instruction and data review to influence planning
- IEPs development and collaboration with districts
- Professional and ethical conduct in delivering programming
- Strong communication with parents/guardians
- Commitment to equitable practices and inclusion
