Job Summary
Per diem School Psychologist needed to evaluate and monitor progress for children birth-5 years through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Responsibilities include testing and evaluating abilities to set realistic goals, recording initial evaluations and progress in the EMR, writing detailed analyses, maintaining confidentiality of records, and ensuring compliance with NYS EI, CPSE/CSE regulations. Provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education within a collaborative team; opportunities for mentoring and CEU courses. Requires a Master’s degree in School Psychology, NYS certification as a School Psychologist, and a minimum of two years’ experience in special education. Pay is hourly with per-diem arrangements in Goshen, Wappinger, Sugar Loaf, and Ulster County, NY; benefits include health, retirement, sick time accrual, and flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in School Psychology required
- Minimum of two years working with children in special education required
- Certification in NYS as a School Psychologist required
- Knowledge and experience administering standardized testing (cognitive, achievement, behavioral/social-emotional and adaptive skills)
- Experience using Frontline (formerly IEP Direct) to assist in developing IEPs
