Implement and oversee the school’s special education evaluation process in alignment with IDEA and state guidelines. Administer and interpret cognitive, achievement, social‐emotional, adaptive, autism spectrum, and other relevant assessments. Prepare and submit compliant evaluations and paperwork for each student; obtain signatures on Permission to Evaluate forms; communicate findings to staff and parents; consult with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to maximize educational development through placement or management. Develop a school mentor program to support students’ social‐emotional development; attend IEP meetings as the LEA representative as needed; ensure timelines and compliance with ADE processes; monitor census accuracy; provide professional development for staff; stay current on developments in school psychology and special education law.
