Job Summary
Provide testing and assessment for IEP purposes within a school setting; conduct standardized testing and clinical observations to evaluate students' intelligence, cognitive, behavioral, emotional, educational, and social development; collaborate in developing individualized education programs (IEPs) with teachers and parents; maintain accurate reports and documentation related to student evaluations and interventions; collaborate with teachers and staff to promote positive behavior interventions in the classroom; consult on best practices for working with children with autism and other special needs; provide individual and group counseling and direct therapeutic interventions to students with issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, or social skill deficits; offer crisis intervention services when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical, School Psychology, or related field
- State licensure/certification to work as a school psychologist within school settings
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of best practices for supporting students with learning, developmental, behavioral and/or emotional challenges
