Job Summary
Conduct psychological assessments, testing, and diagnostic examinations for students to recommend corrective procedures. Deliver individual, group, or facilitative therapy for behavior modification and differentiated instruction. Assist with identifying and placing exceptional students while coordinating with administrators to ascertain individual needs. Attend PPT meetings for special needs students and serve as a resource for mental health, child psychology, and dropout prevention efforts. Maintain accurate record-keeping systems and organize inventory for educational supplies. Encourage parental involvement and ensure effective communication with students and families.
Required Qualifications
- South Carolina State Certification as a School Psychologist
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Masters Degree in Psychology
Desired Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Psychology preferred
- Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred
