Job Summary
Provide data-based decision making and counseling services to students to support academic, social, and emotional success within Burrillville Middle School. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments; deliver individual and group counseling using evidence-based strategies; implement NASP-aligned services including data analysis, consultation, intervention development, and program evaluation; promote student learning through preventive and responsive services; engage families to enhance student outcomes; uphold ethical and professional standards and stay current with best practices in school psychology.
Required Qualifications
- Rhode Island certification as a School Psychologist
- Master's degree preferred
- Conceptual, interpersonal, and social skills
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards for all students
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff
- Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with parents in the support of students
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development to ensure knowledge and skills remain current
