Job Summary
School Psychologist responsible for providing psycho-educational assessments, counseling (individual and group), and collaboration with classroom teams to support preschool children via IEP goals; conducts evaluations, prepares progress notes and Behavioral Plan updates, and facilitates CPSE/CSE meetings; promotes Positive Behavior Intervention Systems and maintains field knowledge through ongoing professional development; requires NY State Certification in School Psychology with a Master’s degree (60 credits) and preference for bilingual Spanish; duties include social-emotional development support, play therapy, and collaboration with families, schools, and administration.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (60 Credits) in School Psychology – New York State Certification, Ph.D preferred
- Experience working with developmentally delayed children
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
