Job Summary
Conduct psycho-educational evaluations during initial referrals to the CSE committee and subsequent triennial assessments. Collaborate with building principals and the mental health team under the supervision of the Director of Pupil Personnel to deliver social emotional learning and trauma-informed practices. Create professional resources and lead professional development initiatives using a student-centered approach. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues while applying a systems approach to support student and staff thriving. Maintain New York State School Psychologist Certification and commit to continual growth in practice.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State School Psychologist Certification
- Experience with social emotional learning and trauma informed practices
- Experience with the delivery of professional development and the creation of professional resources
- A student-centered approach to practice
- The ability to work well and communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues
- The ability to take a systems approach to the work
- A leader who possesses solid understandings of social emotional learning and trauma informed practices as well as someone who believes in continual growth and learning in their practice
- A professional who is committed to the work of the District and who is committed to creating the conditions for our students and staff to thrive
- Directly responsible for completing Psycho- Educational evaluations during initial referral to the CSE committee and subsequent triennial evaluations
