Job Summary
Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Interpret assessment results to identify students' strengths and areas of need, informing educational planning and interventions. Provide counseling and therapeutic services to students individually or in groups to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and support plans for students. Participate in district/school meetings (e.g., IEP, MTSS, manifestation determination). Provide crisis intervention and support as needed. Conduct research and program evaluation to inform evidence-based practices and interventions within the school setting. Stay current with laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to school psychology practice. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in school psychology. Role may vary by state/district requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Active state School Psychologist certification or licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state where you are applying
- NCSP Certification (not required)
- Experience conducting psychological assessments to students in an educational setting preferred
