Job Summary
Provide a full range of school psychological and psycho-educational services to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development of students ages 3-18 across one or more Whitefish School District sites. Administer, score, and interpret psycho-educational evaluations; conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs); participate in MTSS/RTI processes; collaborate on IEPs and Student Assistance Teams; offer short-term individual and group counseling; support data-driven decision-making and maintain student confidentiality; engage in professional growth and adhere to state and federal rules and district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: MA, MS, Ed.S., or Ph.D. in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Licensure/Certification: Valid Class 6 Specialist Certificate with a School Psychologist endorsement from the Montana Office of Public Instruction (or immediate eligibility for certification)
- Communication Skills: Ability to write reports and communicate clearly to students, staff, parents, and public
- Professional Relations: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, parents, and the broader community
- Operational Capacity: Ability to manage time, interpret instructions, and maintain student confidentiality
