Job Summary
School Psychologist conducts tests and evaluations to assess referred students, plans and implements programs to support achievement and adjustment, consults with teachers and parents, administers psychodiagnostic evaluations, conducts conferences, develops and reports on assessments and recommendations, collaborates on functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans, supports division-wide committees, provides in-service trainings, supervises school psychology intern and practicum students, and participates in crisis planning and district initiatives; position located in Staunton, VA across multiple schools; 210-day/10.5-month contract; requires Ed.S or DOE licensure equivalence and internship experience; travel within the division as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ed.S degree or DOE licensure equivalent
- Completed a school year of full-time supervised internship in an accredited school
- Experience with multiple age levels
- Ability to provide own transportation to school-related functions
- Knowledge of psychological testing procedures and practices
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethical standards
